Where the village actually is
UB7, at the far western tail of the Bath Road, past Sipson and just short of the Colnbrook boundary. Terminal 5 is five minutes by car and about twenty on foot along a road with lorries on it, which is walkable in daylight and unpleasant otherwise. The village is closer to the runway than most of the hotels are.
There is no station. West Drayton, on the Elizabeth line, is roughly thirty five minutes away on foot, and Heathrow Terminal 5 about twenty, so in practice everything here arrives and leaves by road. A taxi is always available because you are next to an airport, but order it rather than standing on the road, and allow ten minutes for a driver to find the lane.

One hotel stands on the Bath Road here in Longford rather than at the terminal its sign promises, and runs a shuttle of about ten minutes. It is the building most guests on this page are actually in.
Beyond it, TW6 2GD is the walkway hotel at Terminal 5 itself, and a third is west again at Colnbrook, SL3 0FF. Three buildings, all with Terminal 5 on the sign, only one attached to it. Two pubs, and they are the whole night out
The White Horse is a proper old pub on the Bath Road with low beams and a garden, aircraft going over on final approach, and the only atmosphere out here that belongs to a village rather than a business park. Molly will start an evening there if there is an hour of daylight left and walk back with you afterwards.
The King William IV, further along the same road, has been serving airport workers and travellers since long before any hotel out here existed. Patricia uses it for an hour before dinner when the timing allows. Ten minutes on foot covers most of the village; anything beyond it, particularly along the Bath Road itself, wants a car, because that road is fast and the pavement gives out in places.
Building an evening around a dawn flight
If you are on a six in the morning departure, everything moves earlier rather than being squeezed later. Dinner at seven, the good hours in the middle, a clear finish before midnight, and a real night rather than four broken ones. The village helps with this. There is nothing here to be tempted out to, the road quietens after eleven, and the first departures do not start rumbling over until well after six.
