The town, the green and the canal
The green at the north end still has the gatehouse of a manor on it, which is more history than anywhere else in UB7 manages. The high street runs south from there with the ordinary useful things on it, and at the bottom the canal turns the last few hundred metres into a genuinely pleasant walk in either direction.
Half an hour on the towpath and back is the best thing to do here in the hour before dinner, and it is the only part of this map where a walk is a real plan rather than a way of passing twenty minutes.
Getting in and out of UB7
The station is three minutes from the middle of the town, which makes this the one address on the map where a companion arriving by train is faster than one arriving by car. From the middle of London that is a little over twenty minutes on the fast service, and it is how most of the women reach this end.
By road the central terminals are ten to twelve minutes south, the western terminal a little more, and the motorway junction about five. Guests staying here and working at the airport tend to keep a car, and guests working north of the town tend not to bother.

Rooms off the northern road out of town and along the lane towards the cemetery, plus a good number of serviced flats around the high street. The flats are why this is the long stay address on the map: proper kitchens, own front doors and no corridor at all.
